Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site is currently recruiting new volunteers for its Education and Visitor Services Division. Opportunities are available for people with strong interpersonal skills and interest in actively supporting one of our nation's 397 National Park Service sites. Options include working weekdays on the award-winning "Good Neighbors" education program offered to Brookline and Boston third-grade classes and working either weekdays or weekends interacting with visitors coming to the site, performing some routine phone answering and clerical functions, and potentially developing and giving tours. Note that the site seeks a minimum eight hours per week time commitment. People with background in history, art history, education, public speaking, working with youth, and museums are especially encouraged to apply.
