Mt. Washington Bank 2011 Scholarship Applications Available

For the 18th year, Mt. Washington Bank is seeking applications for its community scholarship program.

This year up to $15,000 in total awards will be available. This year’s categories are college university students, tuition high school students and adult learners pursuing job training/development courses.

Students who reside in or attend school in the following neighborhoods are eligible to apply:  Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, South Boston, South End and West Roxbury.

Applications are available at each office of the Bank and several charitable organizations.

A supply has also been provided to the following branch libraries: South Boston, Washington Village, Adams St., Codman SQ, South End, Connolly and West Roxbury.

Completed applications are due no later than May 27th and will be evaluated by a committee drawn from the education community.

Each applicant will receive notification by mail if they were selected for an award or not.
