Obituary: George H. Ford, Jr.

Mr. Ford, formerly of Sharon and Jamaica Plain, was the husband of Doris Y. (Turgeon) Ford. He is also survived by his children, Ron Ford and his wife Cory of Hingham, Robert Ford and his wife Jennifer of Brookline and Laurie Fowles and her husband Gary of Medway; mother, Catherine M. Ford of Quincy; six grandchildren; siblings, Helen Thornhill, Irish Dwyer, John Ford and Catherine Reid; and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father George H. Ford. 

Funeral from the P.E. Murray-George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 15 from 3 to 9 p.m. Interment at Mt. Benedict Cemetery. 

Expressions of sympathy in Mr. Ford's name may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Research Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115. 

Mr. Ford was a member of Carpenters Union Local 67, American Legion Post 76 Jamaica Plain and the Boston Elks Lodge No. 10 West Roxbury.
