RCN LAUNCHES BACK TO SCHOOL “GAME OF THRONES” CAMPAIGN TO COURT RETURNING COLLEGE STUDENTS

Boston – August 8, 2012 – RCN Boston announced today that it has launched a back-to-school campaign centered around the popular HBO program Game of Thrones to entice returning college students and others to sign up for RCN services.  RCN is offering new customers a package that includes 50 Mbps high-speed Internet, TiVo Premiere Q and all equipment included with no contract for $79.99 per month.

“We’re excited when the college students return to the Boston area so we have put together an attractive deal for them that suits their lifestyle,” said Jeff Carlson, RCN Boston Vice President and General Manager.  “We have lightning fast Internet, and the best entertainment experience with the TiVo Premiere Q so that roommates can watch and record multiple programs at once, all for an affordable price.”

RCN Boston is also rewarding those who sign up for new services with an entry into a contest to be eligible to win $1,000 gift card and a new iPad.  In addition, one winner will get the VIP treatment at the House of Blues in Boston with 2 free tickets to every show for the next six months.

“RCN wants our new customers to have the best experience on every level and that is what we are giving them with our Game of Thrones offer,” said Carlson. “You will see our RCN representatives in your neighborhood, so seize the opportunity to take advantage of this limited time offer.”
