'Tis the season for the story of Christmas - and high school hockey.
Catholic Memorial's nationally-ranked high school hockey team will be taking on Needham High School at 1 p.m. at the Agannis Arena on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston on Saturday. This is big time high school hockey. CM is a perennial state championship contender and expectations are to win the Super 8 state championship.
Check out West Roxbury Patch's preview of the team. And also a feature on Head Coach Bill Hanson.
Like I said, 'tis the season for the story of Christmas, and the Stratford Street United Church is presenting the Sacred Sounds of the Season.
This unique version is written and narrated by Wendie Sakakeeny, a local voiceover artist and photographer. Highlights of the hour-long presentation include "a number of poignant and beautiful holiday classics sung by The Chancel Choir and soloists" with a piano accompaniment.
This event is free and starts at 10 a.m. at the Stratford church.
And maybe you'd like to test your knowledge of random information? Check out Stump Trivia at West on Centre on Sunday night at 8 p.m. Teams can be up to 6 people, but I'd like to see someone win it all without any team member.
