5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 12

  1. April 10-16 is National Library week. The West Roxbury Branch is participating in Snapshot: One Day in the life of Massachusetts Libraries on Wednesday. If you want, patrons using the library may have photos taken of them. 
  2. The West Roxbury/Roslindale Rotary Club will hold its weekly meeting at noon at West on Centre. Any interested members are welcome to attend.
  3. Tax preparation for senior citizens will be available at the Hyde Park Library (35 Harvard Ave., Hyde Park). Please call 617-361-2524 to schedule an appointment and to get more info.
  4. This week is National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, which takes place every year during the second full week of April. The week is dedicated to the men and women who serve as public safety telecommunicators.  We're talking about Boston EMS. Thank you and keep up the good work!
  5. There is a weekly support group of Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at St. George Orthodox Church for those whose lives are affected by alcohol . 7-8 p.m.
