  1. Today the West Roxbury/Roslindale Rotary Club will meet at West on Centre at noon. All are welcome to attend the free luncheon to learn more about charitable giving in the local and international community. 
  2. This week's Patch Readers' Choice Poll is - where is the best florist in West Roxbury? Click on the link to vote! There are several good options in the poll. Voting started on Monday and ends on Friday at 9 a.m. The winner will be announced on Friday at noon. 
  3. On Wednesday, Blanchards is hosting its semi-annual Grand Wine Experience. 6 to 9 p.m. This is a free tasting featuring more than 100 wines from around the world. Enjoy a relaxed, informal atmosphere and accompanying appetizers.
  4. On Thursday night the 2012 Intergenerational Poetry Contest winners will read their work at the West Roxbury Library. 6:30 p.m. Open and free to the public. 
  5. Boston Shines neighborhood cleanups are this Friday and Saturday. There are several organizations doing cleanups in West Roxbury. If you would like to participate, please come down to Centre Street cleanup at the Hastings Street Municipal Lot (corner of Hastings and Centre streets) on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. From there, gloves and tools, and t-shirts will be provided and then onto sprucing up Centre Street!
