- Boston Police District E-5 is holding its National Night Out Celebration tonight at Adams Park in Roslindale. Fun, food, dancing, music, awards and more. 5-8 p.m. Washington Street and Cummins Highway, Roslindale.
- The Boston Bandits Softball travel teams are holding tryouts today, and tomorrow. 5:30 p.m. West Roxbury Education Complex. The Bandits are the traveling teams for the Parkway Girls Softball League. Today is tryouts for the U-14 team. Wednesday tryouts are for the U-16 and U-18 teams. Same time, same place.
- Tonight Theodore Grippo will be at the Copley Boston Public Library discussing his book, With Malice Aforethought: The Execution of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti from 6 to 7 p.m. Free and open to the public.
- Boston Restaurant Week is this week and (last week, too). So why don't they call it Boston Restaurant Weeks this year? Masona Grill and Sofia's Italian Steakhouse are participating, check out the rest here.
