  2. From 6-7 p.m. at the , there will be a Roundtable discussion of the Boston Public Library Compass plan. Open to all residents. 
  3. Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer starts tomorrow and at "a peach cobbler has been created for this event by our Executive Chef Ryan Byrne! 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of each dessert will benefit breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute!" May 5 through 8 in honor of Mother's Day.
  4. On Friday, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is holding a coffee hour for residents at . 9:30-10:30 a.m. Residents are given an opportunity to speak directly with Menino about open space, schools, and other needs in their neighborhoods. All participants will be given free coffee and breakfast treats provided by Dunkin’ Donuts. Each family in attendance also receive a flowering plant grown in the city’s greenhouses as a gift from the Mayor.
  5. The West Roxbury Education Complex girls softball team will square off against rivals English High in West Roxbury at 3:30 p.m.
