Accident Sends Off-Duty Boston Police Officer to Hospital with Non-Life Threatening Injuries
Accident at Belgrade Avenue and West Roxbury Parkway shut down area.
An off-duty Boston Police officer was taken to the hospital tonight with non-life threatening injuries after a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Belgrade Avenue and West Roxbury Parkway.
District E-5 Captain James Hasson was on the scene directing operations and traffic, as the area surrounding the accident was shut off to traffic.
Hasson said everyone was OK, including the children in a van from the Phillips Brook House Association. Hasson pointed out that the children were playing duck, duck, goose in a grassy areaoff the side of the road.
No one else was taken to the hospital.
