Clinton Taking Leave of Absence to Focus on Governor's Council Candidacy
Brian Clinton endorsed by Boston City Councilor Rob Consalvo for Governor's Councilor District 2.
Brian Clinton, candidate for Governor’s Council, District 2, announced he has taken a leave of absence from his role as Chief of Staff for District 5 Boston City Councilor Rob Consalvo to dedicate himself fully to campaigning for Governor’s Council.
The Primary Day is on Thursday, September 6. Clinton spoke about his leave of absence, “I’m excited to be able to dedicate myself full-time to campaigning to be the next Governor’s Councillor from District 2. I look forward to spending more time with the constituents of District 2 and earning their vote.”
Clinton has worked with Consalvo since 2002, who also endorsed him for the District 2 position.
“Brian understands the important role and function of the Governor's Council, and, if elected, plans to restore the integrity and civility within the body,” said Consalvo. “As a Constitutional check on executive power, the Governor's Council is an important institution. Part of his campaign is about spreading this message.” Clinton and Consalvo are first cousins.
Clinton resides in Hyde Park with his wife Jessica and their two young daughters, Eve and Olivia.
