Corrib Pub Given Violation After Bloody Bar Fight

A BPD officer spoke with the victim, who was unable to provide much on the suspect who hit him with a glass. The following information is from the BPD. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

A bloody man was uncooperative with  after allegedly being hit with a glass in the bathroom by another suspect at the on Monday night.

A Boston police officer on duty was alerted to a disturbance at the other end of the bar around 2:01 a.m. on Feb. 6. The officer found the victim, a man about 6-feet 2-inches tall, bleeding from a cut on his forehead, according to a Boston police report.

The man spoke with slurred speech and was uncooperative. He told the officer a suspect about his own height struck him in the head with a glass while in the bathroom. He could not provide any more information to the officer.

During the conversation the suspect moved his hand that was covered in blood and motioned toward the officer's face. The officer said he needed to grab the man's hand to stop the bloody man from touching him. The officer spoke to the victim outside of the bar and requested assistance as well as Boston EMS. The bleeding man refused treatment and left the area with a friend.

The Corrib Pub was issued a license premise notice violation for a patron-on-patron fight.
