Dad Suspects Son Stole Thousands From Him While in Hospital
The victim said that he did not know who removed several checks from his home while in the hospital, but he's got an idea...
A West Roxbury man told police that someone stole checks, cash and money from a safety deposit box, while he was in the hospital - and he suspects his son was the culprit!
In total, the man reported to police on July 14, that $8,000 from his check accounting was stolen, $35,000 from a safe deposit box - and $500 that was stored under a mattress at the victim's VFW Parkway home address, according to a Boston Police report.
The victim told District E-5 Police that he believes his son may be the suspect because he was living at his father's home while the elder was in the hospital, and that he was given permission via a card to access the safe deposit box. The son no longer lives at the father's home.
The victim said it is possible that more money and checks have been stolen, and he would let the police know if he discovered more losses.
