Developer Wants to Convert Old VFW Post into Apartments on Washington Street
Chestnut Hill Realty would need variances to convert the old VFW Post to townhouse apartments.
Chestnut Hill Realty wants to raze the vacant VFW Post at 5098 Washington St., and erect townhouse apartments.
Marc Levin, dir. of development for the realty company will discuss the plans at the Mon., March 11, West Roxbury Civic & Improvement Association meeting at St. Stephen's starting at 7 p.m. This meeting is open to the public.
Variances are needed to convert the building into townhouse apartments. Plans include parking for 18 vehicles, which would also accommodate new construction of 12 new units on Mann and Ridgecrest Drive. Parking would be accessible from Ridgecrest Drive.
Construction (see attached photos) is currently being done behind the VFW Post.

Don't we have enough past and recently built apartments waiting to be occupied in this area of West Roxbury, Enough is enough, I'm still waiting to see what impact the recently built apartments will have on the area to the people already residing in this area. This is something not needed at this time and probably not in the near future.
