Free Food: 4 Restaurants to Hold Ribbon Cuttings on Saturday
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will be there to cut the ribbons and sample some of the free food - that you can, too!
On Saturday, four West Roxbury restaurants will have their official grand openings with Boston Mayor Thomas Menino expected to cut ribbons at the establishments.
The public is welcome to join the Mayor, West Roxbury Main Streets and Boston Main Streets personnel, to visit Los Amigos, the Red-Eyed Pig, Banh Mi Ngon, and LeanWorks, to officially welcome them to the neighborhood. And, oh - free samples!
West Roxbury Main Streets Executive Director Kara O'Connor said the event is open to the public and begins on West Roxbury's Restaurant Row at 2 p.m. First stop is Los Amigos.
Said O'Connor, "We will then head down Restaurant Row holding ribbon cuttings for Red-Eyed Pig and Banh Mi Ngon. Finally, we will end the day at Leanworks for their Grand Opening Celebration."
Los Amigos opened early this year; Red-Eyed Pig opened in December, 2011; Banh Mi Ngon opened in May; and LeanWorks opened in April of this year.
"I am very excited about the four new restaurants that have opened in West Roxbury in the past year," said O'Connor. "These restaurants offer a diverse array of cuisine and have enhanced West Roxbury's business district."
Have you eaten at all four restaurants? Which ones have you eaten at? What do you recommend?
