State Senator Mike Rush had his hands full last Wednesday while he was being sworn in - because he was holding his daughter Ciara Rose Rush.
Many legislators brought their children to share in their personal and historic moment.
Rush began his first term as the State Senator for the Norfolk and Suffolk counties replacing Marian Walsh, who chose not to seek reelection.
Rush had been the 10th Suffolk District State Representative since 2002.
