Letter: Pat Roche's Generosity Helped Untold Number of People
Over the decades, Pat, Bud and the entire Roche Family have been so helpful to untold numbers of people; where would you even start to compile a list of all who have benefited from their generosity?

With great sadness I wanted to let you know that Pat Roche passed away this morning (May 26).
We are all saddened by his passing but grateful for and proud of the exceptional job Pat and his brother Bud did to grow a single store in Roslindale into an impressive grouping of quality Roche Bros. and Sudbury Farm stores in Massachusetts.
Pat Roche was the epitome of a good business person and a kind person who believed in giving back. Over the decades, Pat, Bud and the entire Roche Family have been so helpful to untold numbers of people; where would you even start to compile a list of all who have benefited from their generosity?
Pat Roche proved that to be a good business person and a good human being are not mutually exclusive.

Pat Roche, The Roche Ramily and The Roche Supermarkets Inc have been extremely generous to the many organizations and non-profits of the Parkway Area and beyond.
As an event planner for non-profits, I have reached out to Roche Bros to help support A Taste of Roslindale which in the past has benefitted Roslindale Village Main Street, Roslindale Food Pantry & The Jason Roberts Challenger League; Taste Dedham and Supper with Santa, that both supported The Dedham Rotary Club's programs and services to aid the organizations of the Dedham Community and The International Community. Though I did not know Pat Roche, his kindness, thoughtfulness and giving to the many local communities will be remembered and will continue.

One of the finest compliments you can give someone who has been successful in life is to say they never forgot where they came from & that definiely applied to Pat Roche. He was concerned not only about the business but the community as well
