Saturday's hot temperatures led to hot tempers, with one man ending up arrested for threatening two other men with a metal pipe.
Boston Police arrested Alessandro Deoliveira, of 37 Fruit St. #2, Milford, and charged him with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and threats.
Around 5:19 p.m., District E-5 Police were called to 4945 Washington St., because two landscapers said they were picking up mulch from a construction site. The two men paid for two loads to be placed in their pickup truck, according to a Boston Police report.
The suspect was operating a backhoe, and allegedly cracked a part of the frame of the truck while putting the first load in. Words were exchanged, and the suspect got out of the backhoe and approached the two landscapers with a metal pipe inhand, and allegedly stated, "Who's the retard now?"
The two men told police they backed away from the suspect and called 911.
The suspect's boss witnessed the incident and told police the men had an argument and that it was hot out.
