Man to be Summonsed to Court for Heroin, 20 Pills

Suspect allegedly admitted to Boston Police officer that he "was doing a line" in a parking lot on Rockingham Avenue.

Boston Police seized two plastic bags of heroin and 20 pills from a suspect, who will be summonsed to the West Roxbury District Court for possession of Class A, C, and E drugs.

According to a Boston Police report, this is part of an ongoing investigation.

On Friday around 7 p.m. Drug Control Unit members were conducting surveillance on Washington Street near Speedy's Market, an "area known to members as a location where illegal drugs are frequently bought, sold, and consumed."

Officers noted two individuals parked a little up the street and saw one vehicle pull in front of the other, and then one driver got into the other's car. The vehicle ended up on Rockingham Avenue, parked in the back corner of a parker lot. Officers following the vehicle, parked, and then observed the two males "moving around in the car." After a short period the vehicle left the lot, and pulled into the Hess Gas Station on Washington Street.

The driver went to the bathroom, and one of the officers waited for him inside the Hess store. As the suspect left the bathroom the officer approached him and identified himself as a Boston Police officer and asked if they could speak. The suspect allegedly said yes. The officer asked the suspect where he was coming from, and the suspect said he was coming from "a friend's house." The officer then informed the suspect about the officer's observations he had made, and asked him what he was doing parked in the Rockingham Avenue parking lot.

The suspect allegedly stated, "I was doing a line." The suspect was informed of his Miranda rights. The officer asked the suspect where the rest of the drugs were and the suspect immediately reached for his back pocket. The officer stopped him and informed him to not reach in his pockets again. The suspect told him the drugs were in his back pocket. The officer retrieved a black wallet and immediately felt a bump in the wallet.

Two plastic bags of brown powder believed to be heroin were retrieved from the wallet. One bag was wrapped in a lottery ticket and the other was wrapped in a paper towel.

Another officer located an unlabeled pill bottle in the vehicle, which contained nine Clonazepams, 10 Seroquels and one Clonazepam Tera 834 pill. The suspect allegedy stated to police, "I took those from my girlfriend, I was going to sell them."

The suspect was released and informed he would be summonsed to the West Roxbury Court for possession of Class A, C and E drugs.

The drugs were seized and logged into the drug log book at District E-5, and locked into the drug safe.
