Mass Audubon, Boston Parks Bird Walk at Millennium Park in West Roxbury on Wednesday
Holy Tufted Titmouse! Grab your binoculars and learn about birds in Millennium Park.
On Wednesday, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and Mass Audubon are hosting a free bird walk at Millennium Park.
The focus will be on winter birds like tufted titmouses, cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees and more. This event was originally to be held in January, but was rescheduled due to extreme cold.
"The bird walk at Millennium Park is a first for this department. We are grateful to Mass Audubon for conducting this walk in our park. Their partnership with the city of Boston is making this possible," said Jacquelyn Goddard, Dir. of External Affairs and Communications, for Boston's Parks and Rec Dept.
Those interested can meet at the parking lot near the canoe launch at 3:30 p.m. The event is scheduled to last an hour. For further info, please call 617-635-4505 or visit online at www.facebook.com/bostonparksdepartment.
