More Mosquito Pools Positive for West Nile Virus in West Roxbury
Four additional mosquito pools tested positive for West Nile Virus, with samples from East Boston, Hyde Park, and West Roxbury, said the Boston Public Health Commission.
Four additional mosquito pools has tested positive for West Nile Virus in Boston, including one West Roxbury, said the Boston Public Health Commission today.
That is the second time a mosquito pool has tested positive for West Nile Virus this summer in West Roxbury. Also today, the Brookline Health Department reported a mosquito pool had tested positive on the West Roxbury-Brookline border.
The Boston Public Health Commission said positive samples also came from mosquito pools in East Boston and Hyde Park. In June, a positive mosquito pool was found in Roslindale.
There have still been no confirmed human cases of West Nile Virus in Boston this year. The virus is most commonly transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes, but the virus poses a very low risk to humans.

They should have sprayed before their were any positive mosquitos !!! This is whats wrong with city &towns. it should have been prevented !!!
