Update: Motorcyclist Dead After VFW Parkway Crash
A 25-year-old male had to be extricated by Boston Fire personnel after an accident tonight around 7 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after.
A 25-year-old motorcyclist died after a VFW Parkway accident around 7 p.m. The man was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital around 9 p.m.
"Nobody was injured in the other vehicle. A 25-year-old man collided with a vehicle and subsequently had to be extricated by the Boston Fire Department," said Massachusetts State Police Trooper Todd Nolan.
Initial reports indicate the motorcyclist was pinned under the vehicle, a Honda sedan.
Nolan said the accident occurred at the "1600 to 1700 block" of the VFW Parkway on the Boston side going outbound towards Dedham.
Nolan said there was some "issue of confusion" at first of jurisdiction for the accident. Several agencies have responded to assist with the crash including the Boston Police, Dedham Police, Boston Fire Department and Boston EMS.
The State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section was on scene investigating as of 9:50 p.m.

I didn't witness the actual collision, but I heard the crash and ran over to see if I could help. The reports are correct that his body ended up under that black SUV (not a sedan). I could hardly sleep last night. My condolences go out to his loved ones.
