The students of the Ohrenberger and Beethoven schools held a Bruins Day on Friday letting the students wear Bruins garb, or gold and black, which raised funds for tornado relief.

Any student who donated any amount of monetary donation was able to wear the gold and black of the Boston Bruins.

Initially the students were going to donate funds to the American Red Cross, but a parent with children at both schools, mentioned the devastation in the small town of Monson, where the parent's family is from.  So the students and staff decided to collect funds for a school in Monson.
