One-Alarm Fire at Dunkin' Donuts on VFW Parkway Put Out Quickly
Heavy smoke filled the store around midnight. Arson is not suspected as the cause.
The Dunkin' Donuts at 1630 VFW Parkway caught fire around midnight and BFD crews quickly responded to the one-alarm fire.
According to BFD personnel on the scene, the fire was in the mechanical room and heavy smoke filled the store. Four engine companies, three ladder companies, a rescue unit and a few special units worked the fire.
BFD spokesperson Steve MacDonald said that the Arson Unit was not called to scene, which means that it was known was caused the fire.
The fire was under control and firefighters cleared the scene about 12:45 a.m.
