Patch Battle of the Bands Concert is Tonight
Local musicians voted by Patch readers play The Harp in Boston -- and you're invited.
It’s been months in the making, but the Patch Battle of the Bands concert is finally here in Boston tonight!
Tonight, local musicians voted by you will perform at The Harp in Boston. The winner of our Battle of the Bands Contest, The President, will hit the stage after contest runners up The Truezoos and Forget the Former start the night off with their own sets.
The President, aka Nicholas Kermelewicz of Wakefield, was the top vote getter in our contest. The contest kicked off with a call for videos in February. Twenty-four bands and musicians squared off in three separate regional contests: Greater Boston, North Shore/Merrimack Valley and South Shore/Cape Cod and the Islands.
The top two finishers by region went to the finals, which was won by The President.
Kermelewicz has already taken advantage of one part of his grand prize when he and his friends went on a party bus tour of Boston.
At tonight’s concert, The President will be rapping 14 to 16 original songs and he promises a surprise in his grand finale.
Patch has created an Event Brite page so you can register for the free event. In addition to the great local musicians, the event will feature Patch swag created just for the event.
