Are you wanting to adopt a flurry friend, be it canine or cat? Maybe you're looking for your last pet. Hopefully, the City of Boston Animal and Adoption Shelter in Roslindale has what you're looking for.
Tucked away on Mahler Road (off Washington Street) in Roslindale, it's Boston's city pound. The shelter handles all stray dogs found within the city, so it's a good place to call if your pet is lost, or report that it's lost. For lost or found pets the shelter is open Mon-Sat 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., Tue. until 8 p.m.
Boston Animal Control officers are on a 24-hour seven-day a week schedule.
The Adoption Center is open for pet adoption Tuesday's 10:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; Wed-Sat. from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $75, which includes the spay/neuter and vaccines, it also includes the first set of vaccines for kittens.
The fee for adult dogs and pups is $125 also includes the spay/neuter and vaccines and first set of vaccines for pups, also if a City of Boston resident your first-year dog license. All pets are spay/neutered and vaccinated by the staff veterinarian before they are placed in our adoption center.
