I was headed into Spring Street Cafe the other week and saw a random sign advising drivers to not go faster than 6 miles per hour. A very odd sign, don't you think?
Beth McNichols, the owner of the cafe, suggested the sign is there to let the bus drivers and truck drivers who frequent the parking lot how slow to go. Makes sense - thanks, Beth!

The MBTA used to have trolleys in the area that ran along Spring St. to Needham. The sign was for the trolleys turning around in the MBTA yard.
