Red-Masked Bank Robber Got Away with $5,000+

Suspect wanted in yesterday's robbery of the City of Boston Credit Union.

A red-masked robber made away with more than $5,000 yesterday from the City of Boston Credit Union.

The suspect came in shortly before 2:50 p.m. wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt underneath, blue hospital pants, white Adidas sneakers, beige hospital gloves, a red mask, and round sunglasses.

The suspect allegedly said to one teller, "I don't want to hurt anyone, give me what you have, no dye pack." The suspect had an unknown item in his left hand, said the teller, and brandished it in a threatening manner. The suspect got $1818 from this teller, according to a Boston Police report.

The suspect went to a second teller and said, "No buttons, don't look at me" and stole $3610 from this teller.

The robber then went into an employee's office and took $18 from an employee after demanding, "Give me your money."

A third teller ducked down under her desk with two customers, when she heard the commotion.

Three witnesses gave similar descriptions of the suspect, adding he smelled like alcohol. The suspect knocked over the poles used to form a line inside the bank, too.
