Savers Store Employee Undercharged on Hundreds of Purchases in West Roxbury

A former Savers store employee will be summonsed to court after allegedly stealing money by undercharging customers.

On Dec. 17, Boston Police spoke with the store's loss prevention manager, who conducted a video investigation from his desk in Connecticut, and allegedly observed the suspect committing larceny. The Savers store is located at 1230 VFW Parkway.

The suspect allegedly rang up large amounts of merchandise for a customer, but undercharged her, and the employee admitted to about $1600 worth of merchandise being stolen using the method. The suspect said he did it with other individuals, according to a Boston Police report.

The suspect said he undercharged on about 300 to 400 items during a period of months. The suspect admitted to this and signed a statement acknowledging his ways.
