Two accidents occured where the VFW Parkway meets the West Roxbury Parkway intersection early Sunday morning.

At 1:45 a.m., a 2003 Acura MDX SUV carrying four passanegers rolled over at the site. The driver was a 39-year-old from Dorchester. All in the car were injured to varying degrees, according to state police.

One miniute later in the same location, a second accident occurred between two cars, both coupes. One car, a 1999 Honda model, carried one passenger, while a 2008 Honda Accord carried four. Reports from Boston EMS, as relayed by Twitter handle mflynn6705, said five people were brought to area hospitals as a result of the accidents, with two going to Faulkner Hospital, two to Brigham and Women's and one to Beth Israel Deaconess. A state police official said that everybody involved in the first accidents had been injured to some degree, and confirmed that the driver of the 1999 Honda in the second accident had been taking to Faulkner Hospital. The official could not confirm where anybody else who was injured had been taken.

State police said some injuries were serious, but did not yet have any details to report. The speeds of the vehicles involved were still under investigation, but there were no indicators that alcohol was a factor in the initial rollover accident as of 11 a.m. on Sunday. The investigation into the accidents, however, is ongoing, state police said.
