10th Annual Boston Tattoo Convention
The 10th Annual Boston Tattoo Convention takes place at the Boston Back Bay Sheraton Hotel from Friday through Monday, Sept. 2 to 5. This is the chance to get the tattoo you always wanted. There will be art galleries, collaborative painting, tattoo artists from around the world, performances and educational seminars.
The schedule is: Friday, Sept. 2, 4 p.m. to midnight
Saturday, Sept. 3, noon to midnight
Sunday, Sept. 4, noon to midnight
Monday, Sept. 5, noon to 9 p.m.

Home Depot offers free weekly home-improvement workshops with tips and suggestions from professionals. The September workshops begins Saturday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m., and Sunday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. These workshops feature ways to update home interiors quickly and affordably; tips on weatherizing; and planning for fall planting and lawn maintenance.
Stump Trivia on Sunday
West on Centre invites teams of six or fewer to play Stump Trivia, Sunday, Sept. 4, at 8 p.m. Prizes for the winning team include gift certificates, T-shirts and Red Sox tickets.
A free concert takes place Saturday, Sept. 3, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the DCR Martini Shell, 1015 Truman Parkway, Hyde Park. The concert features Daniel Ian Smith and a Collective Directive, The Suprasonics, and Ron Reid and the Sunsteel Quintet.
Mango's Latin Dance Party
The Lee Wilson Movement presents Mango's Latin Night, Saturday, Sept. 3, 10 p.m. at the Milky Way. The event features Salsa, Meringue and International Pop. You must be 21 years and older to join this dance party. The cost is $10.
