Of course the jobless rate affects my vote. And what I see under Obama is slow but reliably steady job growth. And what I hear from Romney is a bunch of self-conflicting ideas with no details that I don't think will benefit me down here at my level. I am afraid to take the risk, since I know for sure that Obama will continue with the "slow but steady" job growth.

What businesses see from Obama is uncertainty about tax rates which prevents them from taking moves to expand and hire more workers. A Romney win would put businesses at ease because they would know that the environment will be kept right for growth. This leads to more jobs.
Obama does not understand economics and it showed in the first debate. He is a community organizer. He is not cut out to lead an economic recovery.

Yes it will. I don't agree with most of Romney's platform, however change is necessary. My wife and I worked for a company over 30 years which was forced to close in 2010. We no longer collect unemployment and cannot find work. 8.1% or 7.8% isn't realistic, how many others are still looking for work or have given that are no longer factored into the unemployment rate?????

I tried to love Obama. I voted for him the first go around. I cant see voting for him again after the Ambassador cover up lies his administration told about some video that is now hitting the news that it had nothing to do with it which I suspected all along. The stagnant unemployment rate is another factor. And the REAL unemployment rate as Bob stated is closer to 14% as I dont think even other Democrats including me can argue due to so many not even looking for work as they lost hope and its more lucrative to be on food stamps. This is what happened to my uncle. Not even looking anymore. He even stated he is voting for Romney / Ryan as well now. Obama is a gifted speaker and very influential...but not without his teleprompter it kills me to say. We need to turn this ship around and I really believe Romney and Ryan have a plan that will work. Two very successful business men that understand how capitalism works and how to get the country moving. Socialistic governance is a recipe for disaster.

Mitt Romney will rain financial misery on the Middle and Blue Collar Classes. Medicare, Medicaid, & Social Security will take a Huge Hit.
