Unhappy Thanksgiving for Car Owners on Baker Street
More than $500 worth of goods were stolen from a vehicle on Baker Street before for a resident to wake up to on Thanksgiving.
A Baker Street resident reported that his vehicle was broken into overnight before Thanksgiving Day in West Roxbury.
The victim said that camera equipment including a Nikon camera lens valued at $250, and a Nikon camera valued at $169 were stolen from his vehicle.
The resident reported the thievery on Friday, telling Boston Police that he waited until after the holiday to report it. He told police that other Baker Street residents had their vehicles broken into the same night, but those incidents were not reported because nothing of value was stolen, according to a Boston Police report.
The victim told police he did not see any signs of forced entry and believed his car door may have been unlocked.
