Urban Science Academy Student Suspended for Marijuana, Must Attend Counseling & Intervention Center

The Urban Science Academy at the West Roxbury Education Complex improved met No Child Left Behind Act goals for two years in a row, releasing the school from accountability from the act.

An Urban Science Academy student found by the Dean of Discpline with a bag of marijuana will be suspended and have to attend the Counsel and Intervention Center.
The student was found on Jan. 11 at 8:20 a.m. in the third floor boys bathroom holding a bag of a leafy green substance believed to be marijuana, according to a Boston Police report.
