Wicked Sharp is holding its first annual Skate Swap starting this weekend.

JP Bedard of the shop explained of the way the Skate Swap works via email:

• There will be a $2 submission fee per pair of skates, which will cover credit card processing and the remainder to go to Parkway Youth Hockey.
• The person owning the skates will set the price, if the skate sells that person would get the total (for example: person A wants $20 for their skates, person B buys them for $20. Wicked Sharp does all the processing and person A gets a check from Wicked Sharp for $20).
• All skates for the swap must be in usable condition.
• Wicked Sharp will start accepting skates for the Skate Swap on March 19, 2011 and will not accept any after March 24, 2011.
• The Skate Swap will be held at Wicked Sharp located at 1898 Centre St. If you have questions, call the shop at 617-327-2560. The Skate Swap will be on March 26 and 27, 2011, the hours will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
• If your skates do not sell Wicked Sharp will notify you within one week of the skate swap via email, you will have 5 days to pick up the unsold skates
• Wicked Sharp will notify you if your skates have sold. Wicked Sharp will notify you within one week of the skate swap via email and will mail a check to you or you can donate the check to Parkway Youth Hockey.
