Woman Concerned about Flirtatious Furniture Delivery Guy

West Roxbury woman contacted police about delivery man who sent two texts within hours of dropping off furniture.

A West Roxbury woman reported to District E-5 Police that she was concerned by a flirtatious furniture delivery man, who sent her multiple text messages after meeting her earlier in the day.

The Temple Street resident said she purchased the furniture from a woman on craigslist.org, and the suspect delivered it on Dec. 11 at her home at 2 p.m., according to a police report. The man then texted her at 4:15 p.m. with the message, "It was nice meeting you, I'm really attracted to you, do you have a boyfriend" and followed by "Do you want to know what happened to the other women that struck me, i don't want to be a problem, but i just what is good for me."

Police spoke with the woman who sold the furniture, who said the man had worked for her for years.

I am impressed by this woman's sense of intuition. Too many times, we just say, "Oh well".. and go on with whatever it was we were doing. However, if this man made her feel uncomfortable, she did the right thing by reporting it. Maybe it will teach the man some manners as well as common courtesy. I applaud her courage.

The woman should thank her lucky stars that anyone is even paying attention to her. If she had a man of her own, she would not need the furniture to be delivered.
Gotta run, I have a love-seat to deliver to Needham.
