Photos: Boston Latin School Graduates Class of 2012

The Harbor Lights Pavilion on the waterfront was the setting for Boston Latin School's graduation on Monday evening, June 11.

At 5 p.m., a long line of purple clad graduates filed into the arena and took their seats in a reserved front section. An invited guest who welcomed all was Boston Mayor Tom Menino.

Music is always and important part of a Boston Latin School graduation and this year was no exception. The chorus and concert band made an impressive appearance and performed beautifully.

The valedictory address was presented by West Roxbury resident Anumita Das. She was born in India and is off to Harvard in the fall. Ms. Mooney-Teta presented diplomas to 333 graduates.

Congratulations to all the Latin School graduates -- to make it through the entrance exam, the six years of demanding tests and reading, and to graduate -- many with honors -- is an achievement all graduates and their parents can be proud of. Good luck to them all.
