The Charles River/Spring Valley Neighborhood Association is holding their annual Spring Meeting on Wednesday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Elks Hall on Morrell Street.
All residents and businesses of the Spring Street area are welcome to attend. The association’s meeting agenda includes welcoming the new owners of the new area business – Leanworks.
In addition, elected officials from the state and city will be in attendance and a representative of the City of Boston will update the neighborhood on the progress of the gateway project.

More About Boston Lodge of Elks
Part social club, part 'fraternal order', the Benevolent Elks have grown quite a bit since the organization's humble beginnings in 1868; currently there are an estimated one million members scattered throughout 2,000 lodges across the country. This location, Lodge 10, is known as "the New England mother lodge." It moved into the space at the corner of Spring and Morrell in 2007, directly behind the VA Hospital. Presidents Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy and Ford were all active Elks Lodge members.
