DESCRIPTION:The 27th season of the Roslindale Village Main Street Farmers
 &rsquo\; Market iis underway n Adams Park at the intersection of Washing
 ton Street and Cummins Highway in Roslindale Village. The market will be
  every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM through October 27. There will b
 e free additional parking again this year with a lease on the MBTA lower
  parking lot at South Street and Belgrade Avenue (entrance by Citizens B
 ank).\nThe opening day celebration marks the many ways in which the farm
 ers&rsquo\; market has been helping to nourish Boston-area families. Ove
 r 2\,500 customers visit the Farmers&rsquo\; Market each week spending a
 pproximately $20/visit\, generating over $40\,000 worth of sales for the
  Roslindale Village Farmers&rsquo\; Market vendors.&nbsp\; 76% of these 
 customers also spend money in the Roslindale Village business district.\
 nAs the success of the farmers&rsquo\; market takes hold as a community 
 staple\, more vendors have applied this year than ever before. The seaso
 n will commence with 37 vendors featuring 8 returning farms each week an
 d one new farm&ndash\;all providing locally grown fruits\, produce\, her
 bs\, plants\, vegetables\, meat\, poultry and maple syrup. The returning
  farmers are: Two Field Farm of Weston\, The Neighborhood Farm of Needha
 m\, Brookwood Farm of Milton\, MacArthur Farm from Holliston\, Allandale
  Farm from Jamaica Plain\, Ferrara Greenhouse of Hyde Park\, John Crow F
 arm of Groton and Lawton&rsquo\;s Family Farm from Foxboro. Joining the 
 list of weekly vendors this season will be Nutting Farm from Brighton of
 fering pure Vermont maple products.&nbsp\;\nChildrens activities are sch
 eduled every Saturday from 10-11am and live music is also every Saturday
  from 11am-1pm.&nbsp\;\nSeveral Roslindale businesses will participate i
 n the market this year including Tony&rsquo\;s Market supplying sandwich
 es\, pastas and meats and Fornax Bread Company with fresh artisan bread 
 and baked goodies.&nbsp\; Other Roslindale businesses include Lick Baker
 y selling sardine flavored "pupsicles" ice cream\, mini dog quiches\, an
 d beeftini "sorbets" for dogs and Alex&rsquo\;s Ugly Sauce\, purveyors o
 f artisanal hot sauce.&nbsp\;\nOther locally produced food-related vendo
 rs include: Samira&rsquo\;s Homemade featuring their hummus\, Walter&rsq
 uo\;s Specialty Foods offering sauces\, rubs\, and jellies\, Solua&rsquo
 \;s Homemade Salsa\, Doves and Figs with jams\, conserves\, and fruit mu
 stards\, Good Measure Bakery with rum cakes\, as well as Taza Chocolate\
 , crafters of stone-ground chocolate\, Caramel Eyes with caramel candy\,
  Boston Area El Salvador Sister City Committee selling coffee beans\, Fa
 stachi with assorted nuts\, Gay Grace Teas is back with assorted teas\, 
 and many other food related vendors.\nArts and crafts and other non-food
  vendors appearing weekly or occasionally include: Earringzz\, Top It of
 f Accessories\, Beret Bouquet\, DenneryDesignBebe\, Pop Teez\, Beads My 
 Way\, The Well Fed Dog\, Sweet Gum Studio/Happy Fun Lamp\, Horizons for 
 Homeless Children\, Hilary\, Blue Oasis Gifts\,&nbsp\; Lynnie B. Designs
 \, Pate Ceramics\, Nancy&rsquo\;s Homemade Soaps and Stephanie Cave Desi
 gns\, among others. Local nonprofits appearing occasionally at the farme
 rs&rsquo\; market include: Friends of the Roslindale Library\, Greening 
 Rozzie\, Roslindale Green &amp\; Clean and Roslindale Arts Association.\
 nThe Roslindale Farmers&rsquo\; Market has one of the most successful Bo
 unty Bucks programs in Boston. The program doubles a SNAP recipients spe
 nding power by up to $10 for purchases of fresh\, locally produced food 
 every week.&nbsp\; The Bounty Bucks program enables all residents of Bos
 ton to have access to the local bounty of farm products available at Cit
