More About Billings Field
Billings Field is one of the most recognized areas in West Roxbury.
There are three tennis courts and one practice wall, three baseball/softball fields that may be lit at night and two full-court basketball courts.
Age-appropriate playgrounds with bouncy surfaces provide opportunities for the little tykes to not be run over by the larger ones.
Many out-of-towners know Billings Field as the starting point for the annual Corrib Classic 5K Road Race.
The Billings Clubhouse is open during the day during warmer months and has bathrooms, water fountains and drink machines.

Hey several parents are wondering how long the kids' race is. We assume it's not a 5k. Is it a couple hundred yards? Is it different distances for the different age groups? Would love more info.

According to Corrib Road Race officials, the kids "race" consists of running around Billings Field for 1 mile. But kid are welcome to run however long they want to run, and receive medals and will have a fun time no matter what. I've seen 3-year-olds out there and I've seen pre-teens out there. It's to have fun.
