Please join volunteers The Dog Park Association of Southwest Boston at Millenium Park on Saturday, April 28 from 9:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. to clean the lower trails. Please meet near the canoe ramp.
Refreshments, tools and gloves will be provided. This clean up is part of Boston Shines 2012. The Dog Park Association promotes responsible pet ownership and is currently searching for open space where a dog park can be built that would serve West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park and Roslindale. More About Millennium Park
Millennium Park opened in 2000 on the site of the former Gardner Street landfill.
The park has athletic fields, access to the Charles River for canoeing and kayaking, as well as walking and biking paths.
There are also age-appropriate playgrounds for children of different ages.
The park is also elevated and is a great place to fly a kite, which is why kite festivals are held there annually.
