DESCRIPTION:On May 19\, Franklin Park Zoo begins its exciting summer seas
 on with Zoo 100 Day\, a kick-off event to salute the Zoo&rsquo\;s 100th 
 birthday. While Franklin Park Zoo&rsquo\;s 100th birthday isn&rsquo\;t u
 ntil October\, we believe such a milestone year should be celebrated all
  season long!\n&nbsp\;\nZoo 100 Day will be the first event of a series 
 of centennial celebrations throughout the summer. Be sure to join us for
  a fun-filled day that will include zookeeper encounters\, entertainment
  and more! The Jumping Monkeys\, a children's musical group\, will perfo
 rm from 10:15 - 11:00 AM and from 11:15 AM &ndash\; noon (weather permit
 ting). Watch as some of the animals\, including the tigers\, African wil
 d dogs\, keas and others\, receive birthday themed enrichment items incl
 uding ice treats and paper mache &ldquo\;cakes&rdquo\; filled with treat
 s. The first 1\,000 visitors to the Zoo will receive a complimentary min
 i cupcake or frosting shot\, courtesy of Sweet Cupcakes!\n&nbsp\;\nIn ad
 dition\, on Saturday\, May 19\, Sweet Cupcakes will award its 100th cust
 omer with a Zoo party! The lucky winner will have the chance to throw hi
 s or her own party at Franklin Park Zoo with up to 20 friends. &nbsp\;&n
