Director of Bicycle Programs Speaks About Bike Lanes in West Roxbury

5 things to know for Wednesday, Oct. 16 in West Roxbury.

1. On Wednesday, the West Roxbury Business and Professional Association will meet at 7:45 am at West Roxbury Pub Function Room located at 1885 Centre Street with the meeting to begin promptly at 8 am. Nicole Freedman, Director of Bicycle Programs in the City of Boston will be present to speak about the new VFW bike lanes.

2. Deutsches Altenheim German Centre, the West Roxbury Business and Professional Association and Ethos-AgeWell West Roxbury will host a "Stand up for Seniors - Coffee and Conversation with the Candidates” forum with the at-Large candidates for Boston City Council.  The forum will take place on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2 pm at Deutsches Altenheim German Centre Holtzer Auditorium, 2222 Centre Street in West Roxbury. 

3. State Representative Ed Coppinger is looking for donations as he is again organizing the effort to install Christmas/Holiday lighting in the business district, Make your check payable to "Raise Some Green for West Roxbury" and mail to Post Office Box 320610, West Roxbury, MA  02132.  For more information, please call Rep. 4. West on Centre will be offering all pizzas for half price on Wednesday night.

5. Bring a rain jacket, today is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 65 degrees.  Rain showers are expected before 2 p.m.
