Halloween, Death Notices and More

1. Halloween is coming: Looking for some ideas for a great Halloween. Check out some of the tips here.

2. Senators on the shutdown: Both Massachusetts senators blasted House Republicans yesterday, depending that the lower chamber pass a "clean continuing budget resolution, which would fund the government for another two months. Senator Elizabeth Warren called the House Republican tactic "hostage-taking," while newly-minted Senator Ed Markey compared the efforts to defund Obamacare via federal shutdown to the series finale of "Breaking Bad." Really.

3. ICYMI: Today we launched a new death announcement feature. We'll run it Monday through Friday. The notices are from Dedham funeral homes only, so feel free to include other notices in the comments section if you know of a Dedham resident with services outside of town.
