1. West Roxbury marathon runner: Runners are gearing up for the Boston Marathon, and many are running for a cause. West Roxbury resident David Grissino is running for team Dana-Farber. Learn more about Grissino and how to donate to the team ahead of this year's run.

2. Win a gift basket: Whole Foods in Dedham has donated a Valentine's Day basket to Chefs Table Foundation. The nutrition awareness charity will raffle off the basket, so you'd be showing your love and helping out those in need.

3. In case you missed it: Catholic Memorial's Knights will lace up the skates and face perennial high school hockey juggernaut Delbarton in Yankee Stadium. The Feb. 1 match is part of the NHL's Stadium Series of outdoor hockey.

4. Lose weight and stay safe: The Better Business Bureau has some tips for you as you try to get into shape for the new year. Check them out.

5. Weather: Our mid-winter thaw continues today, with high temperatures creeping into the upper 40's. Expect rain today, but the sunshine returns Wednesday.
