Poetry Night Planned at Boston Library

1. Warm and dry conditions expected Wednesday in West Roxbury.  Expect sunshine  with a high near 62 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The West Roxbury Business and Professional Association announced that their next meeting will be  Wednesday morning, October 16, 2013 at 7:45 a.m. at West Roxbury Pub Function Room located at 1885 Centre Street, with the meeting to begin promptly at 8 am.  

3. Mark your calendar, there will be an open night poetry night at the Roslindale Branch Library on Saturday, October 19.  The Young Peoples Open Mic will feature readings from students in grades 6 to 12. Sign up begins at 6:30pm. Family friendly poetry will also be held from 7-9 p.m. Poems in all languages welcome. Light refreshments will be served. 

4. The West Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library  will offer after school help from Monday-Thursday. Mentoring is available during the school year in all subject areas to students in grades K-8 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
