Update on VFW Parkway Accident; Hear Connolly and Consalvo; and 'Madagascar 3' Showing

- Hear what city councilors John Connolly and Rob Consalvo said during the recent West Roxbury candidates night on why they want to be the next mayor of Boston.
- Somewhat good news about the multiple car accident on the VFW Parkway that involved an overturned vehicle: Boston EMS transported four people to the hospital with minor injuries. The two female victims were taken to Brigham and Women’s, and two males were taken to Beth Israel, according to Boston EMS.
- The ReadBoston Storymobile will be making multiple stops per week at four West Roxbury locations this summer to read to children, free books and more! On Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the Roche Family Community Center, and at 11:15 a.m. at Billings Field, and 12:30 p.m. at the Ohrenberger Community Center. - On Thursday, Mt. Washington Bank is hosting a free movie night of 'Madagascar 3' beginning at 7:30 p.m. The movie will be shown in the parking lot. 1895 Centre St. Snacks and cold drinks will be complimentary. Bring a blanket. Rain date is Aug. 20.
- On Friday, District 6 City Councilor Matt O'Malley is holding office hours at Starbucks from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Stop by and talk to him about what's going on in your neighborhood.
