Friday, Jan. 3
3 p.m.Boston has announced that it will end its snow parking ban at 5 p.m., according to Boston.com.
Thursday, Jan. 2
3:39 p.m.Eastern Bank has announced that, due to the snowstorm, all Eastern Bank and Eastern Insurance offices, including its Customer Service Center (1-800-EASTERN), are closing at 5 p.m. Thursday, and more changes may be coming Friday as well.
3:02 p.m.
In consideration of public and staff safety in light of the current coastal storm, the Massachusetts Trial Court will close courthouses statewide today at 3 p.m. on Jan. 2 and will delay opening on Friday, Jan. 3 in all counties until noon. An assessment for Friday afternoon operations will be made in the morning. No first-day jurors are scheduled to report on Friday.
All library locations of the Boston Public Library will close at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Snow emergency & parking ban in effect for City of Boston.

- @NotifyBoston is reporting that Senior First Night celebration at World Trade Center has been canceled today due to weather.
Snow emergency in effect
- A snow emergency will go into effect at 12 p.m. on Thursday. The ban is still currently in effect while crews work to clear roads.

Delays, cancellations and closings:
- Schools: All Boston Public Schools are CLOSED on Friday
- Municipal buildings: Regular hours
- State offices: Regular hours
- Other delays reported to WHDH
- MBTA travel advisories
- Logan Airport: Open. Check your flight status.
- Trash/Recycling: Holiday schedule remains in effect
- Community Centers: Open Thursday. Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, East Boston and Mission Hill will remain open Friday 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. All other centers will close on Friday.
- Libraries: Open Thursday.
- Parking meters: Normal rules apply
- Street cleaning: Normal schedule
