FALL INTERACTIVE ARTS FESTIVAL in Dudley Square this weekend, Nov. 2!
Citi Performing Arts Center invites students and families to participate in a free arts festival including workshops and performances from local artists on Saturday, November 2, from 10 AM – 2 PM at the Dudley Branch of the Boston Public Library. This community-based festival, sponsored in part by the Fellowes Athenaeum Fund, will include roving entertainment, library scavenger hunts, face painting, performances by Citi Performing Arts Center’s Teen Council and artist-led workshops in poetry, dance, and theater enjoyable for all ages.
Featured artists at the November 2 event will include Citi Center’s 2012-13 Community Artist Fellow Toni Bee, who will conduct poetry workshops, and award winning actress and musician Valerie Stephens, who will conduct a storytelling workshop, plus many more. “We hope this family festival crosses generations in highlighting various aspects of performance arts and bridges cultures and communities through shared creative experiences” said Citi Center Education Director, Corey Evans.
