5 Things July 3: Chess Club, Dinosaur Story Time & Summer Reading at Library Today

Chess Club at West Roxbury Library today for kids of all ages to learn the game or practice.


  1. Today children from toddlers to Grade 8 can register for the Summer Reading Program at the West Roxbury Library. Pick up reading packet and register for special events. 10 a.m. 1961 Centre St.
  2. Also today enjoy Dinosaur Story Time with dinosaur stories and make paper bag dinosaur puppets at the West Roxbury Library. For ages 4-8. Free. 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  3. Also, at the library today - Chessmaster Charlie moderates the Ted D'Amato Chess Club, occurring on Monday and Wednesday afternoons in the summer. 2:30-5:30 p.m. This is for chess players of all levels, come and learn the game or come and practice. This program is funded by the Friends of the West Roxbury Branch Library.
  4. Due to the July 4th holiday trash and recycling normally collected on Thursday or Friday will be delayed one day.
